Highlander Orientation is a rite of passage. |
Highlander Orientation at UC Riverside is more than just a freshman enrollment requirement; it is a two-day rite of passage designed to make future Highlanders ready for the next four years. During the event, students will engage in activities including exploring the campus, getting to know fellow freshmen Highlanders and even registering for fall quarter classes.
Multiple freshman orientations are offered throughout July and August, each one geared toward a different type of student or major. Please help your students review the session dates to find which one applies to them.
Students must register for their orientation weekend by June 7. As there is limited space at each orientation, students are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. They can do so online at orientation.ucr.edu

A new look for the UC application
Starting in August, the application and admission site for the UC system will undergo a facelift. The redesign uses easy-to-understand, conversational language and will be more intuitive to applying students. The UC system has created an application guide so that you can help your students feel comfortable with this exciting change.
